9/12/2023: Important Security Alert: Beware of Phishing Attempts
I hope this message finds you well. We want to inform you about a recent security threat that has come to our attention. There is a new phishing attack circulating via email and within Microsoft Teams, where malicious actors are attempting to trick users into clicking on a link that leads to a fraudulent login page. Possible images of the attack are shown below. We normally have Teams messages blocked from external locations or companies so you should be ok on that front. There could still be issues coming from Teams meeting invites that could be dangerous. Never join a meeting from someone you don't know.
To protect yourself and your organization from potential harm, please remember the following:
Do not click on suspicious links: Be cautious when you receive unexpected emails or messages with links, especially if they ask you to log in or provide sensitive information.
Delete suspicious messages: If you receive any message, email, or notification that raises suspicion or asks you to click on a link, delete it immediately.
Alert IT: If you encounter any such messages and don't delete it right away or suspect a phishing attempt may have occurred, please report it to Loricus immediately. We will investigate the issue and take necessary actions to ensure your safety and the security of your systems.
Your vigilance is crucial in maintaining the security of our organization's data and systems. We take this matter seriously and continuously work to enhance our security measures.
Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our digital environment safe. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to our IT support team.
